Alogic Elite laptop stand review

For years, we’ve struggled to find the optimal position for working on our laptops. I’ve experimented with various solutions, including using my MacBook on the sofa arm at home and a proper desk at the office. However, my past experiences with laptop stands have left me wanting more in terms of sturdiness. This is where the Alogic Elite laptop stand is different in many ways.

Crafted with a quality comparable to the MacBook, the Alogic Elite laptop stand features a white finish. It offers adjustable height and angle options, allowing you to customise it to your preferred working position. The laptop, meanwhile, gets some rubber cushioning, ensuring it does not get scratches in the long run.

With my MacBook, it took some time to find the ideal height and angle that worked for me. After an initial period of awkwardness, I realised that an elevated stand allowed me to look straight at the screen, eliminating the need to crane my neck down as I often do with my mobile device.

This is no ordinary laptop stand. Its base incorporates a charging surface where I can conveniently charge my iPhone (review) and AirPods (review) using a USB-C cable that connects directly to the rear of the stand. However, the placement of the charging pad may occasionally cause you to forget your AirPods on it, as I have experienced.

While the stand’s sturdiness is commendable, it also means that some effort is required to adjust the angles or height. However, it’s important to recognise that without this firmness, the stand would not be as effective, especially when resting your hands on it.

Priced at Rs 4,490, the Alogic Elite laptop stand is an excellent choice for those seeking control over their screen viewing angle and hand placement to minimize the long-term impact of work-related strain. Remember, it offers more than a basic stand thanks to its integrated charging pad.
